Background:
Maureen has worked in health care for over 20 years, first as a medical assistant and nurse, now as a nurse practitioner. She integrates interprofessional collaboration with nursing skills to promote wellness and healing within a caring environment. She strives to promote wellness and incorporate prevention education along with healing and disease management.

Maureen grew up on a farm in the Peabody-Elbing area and graduated from Berean Academy. She obtained her bachelor of nursing degree from Bethel College, North Newton, and completed her master’s degree in nursing at Wichita State University.

In her spare time, Maureen likes to read and is a member of the Whitewater Library Bookclub, the Sage Readers. She is active in her church community and assists with projects that increase youth involvement and is an active participant of the health care team in the congregation. She enjoys her messy garden, loves to cook, and enjoys traveling to colorful and interesting places.

She lives in Newton with her husband, two teenage daughters, two cats, and five chickens.

Maureen is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master’s degree in Nursing from Wichita State University and is a nursing clinical instructor at Hesston College.
