Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Background:
Tarina graduated from Peabody-Burns High School. She became interested in working with children at a young age through babysitting and being active in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. Early in college, she furthered her professional experience with children by working at an early childhood development center, before making her way into the medical field.

She first worked as a nurse tech in general pediatrics before becoming a registered nurse.

Collectively, Tarina accumulated seven years of pediatric nursing experience from both inpatient and outpatient settings prior to earning her advanced practice degree.

Tarina enjoys small-town living, as she resides in Peabody KS with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys playing with her children, doing DIY projects, cooking, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. She especially enjoys being surrounded by family and friends.

Qualifications:
Tarina received her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Wichita State University and her Masters in Nursing Science from Maryville University, specializing in pediatric care. She is Board Certified as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

As a CPNP, it is her goal to provide each patient with individualized care that incorporates the family’s preferences. She strives to provide patient education with each interaction because it is important to her that families and patients have the information they need to make informed medical decisions.

Additionally, she believes it is important to approach each child in a way that is developmentally appropriate for them.
